Designing, Planning & Delivering Bridge Projects

Why Attend Bridges Australia 2010?

The Australian Government is investing $26.7 billion on road and rail infrastructure through the Nation Building Program over the six year period from 2008-09 to 2013-14.

This major investment is aimed to improve access and integrate our nation’s transport infrastructure to manage demand and ease traffic congestion.

Bridge Projects are an essential component in enabling this integration. Whether it is a whole new bridge or an upgrade of an existing one, bridges are complex structures posing significant design and construction challenges.

It is your job to co-ordinate the construction and project delivery once contracts are awarded– planning construction methods and procedures while consulting with various stakeholders to make sure design intentions and standards are met.

Bridges Australia 2010 has been designed to bring the entire value chain together involved in the bridge life cycle to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities in the design, construction and maintenance of modern bridge systems.
